Santiago Trail Nitrate Removal Facility,
Booster Pump Station, and Storage Tank

Scope of work
This Design-Build included all design, permitting, and construction of a 10.8 MGD booster pump station, a 2 MG water storage tank, related appurtenances, an ion-exchange nitrate removal facility, site grading, landscaping, and a 1200 ft block perimeter wall. This work was necessary to reduce the nitrate concentration in the groundwater produced from Pinal Valley Well No. 32 and 33, and to provide additional booster pump and storage capacity for the Pinal Valley water system. The work site consists of two parcels of land combined into 5.28 acres, adjacent to a major subdivision and a retail mall. This is the largest capital improvement project to be completed by Arizona Water Company.
