Prescott Valley North Well Field
Phases 1 and 2

Scope of work
This Design-Build project included the design and installation of five new water production wells and buildings. The first phase of the project was to drill the wells utilizing predetermined test well information provided by the owner. With the preliminary test well information and working with the Town of Prescott Valley and the hydrologist, the team was able to determine the size of well casings, the approximate well depths, and pump column pipe.
During this project there was high volatility in steel pricing due to shortages and high demand. FE was able to utilize the preliminary information to pre-purchase all the well pipe needed for equipping all five wells while the design was being completed. By purchasing and storing the steel needed for the wells early in the project, the project was expedited and completed with a savings in excess of $100,000.
